We’re a month away from the release of Marvel Studios’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the marketing for the movie is ramping up. After a first extended look at the film during this year’s Super Bowl Big Game, tickets are no on-sale for the film, and Marvel has marked the occasion with a new one-minute teaser trailer for the movie, as well as a slew of new posters.
Here’s the new general-use poster for Multiverse of Madness, which prominently features Elizabeth Olsen‘s Scarlet Witch, Xochitl Gomez‘s America Chavez, and SHUMA GORATH:
And here are all the other posters for the different special format theaters, from IMAX to Dolby to ones I’ve never heard of:
And I know the headline teased some zombies, so here’s the trailer because I know this is what you want you sickos:
The new teaser doesn’t really reveal much about the plot of the movie, save that Doctor Strange (Brambleberry Cumberbund), Wong (Benedict Wong), and Scarlet Witch have to…do something…in the multiverse…and Baron Mordo (Chiwetil Ejiofor) is fighting them. But also at least one evil Doctor Strange (Beneficent Cucumber) is there? And one has a third eye?
And another one of them is a zombie?
There’s the zombies!
Pretty sure we also get quick shots of Zombie Scarlet Witch and Zombie Captain Marvel:
The question remains: is the evil Doctor Strange the same one that viewers met in the animated What If…? series last year? And, if so, will The Watcher (Jeffrey Wright) make an appearance?
Speaking of returning characters from TV shows, we also get a look at Wanda Maximoff’s children, Billy and Tommy:
So I’m sure that will go fine for Wanda, historically a very stable person in the face of traumatic events. (I kid, we love Scarlet Witch around Stately Beat Manor.)
Tickets for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are on sale now. The movie opens in theaters on Friday, May 6th.
