After the success of The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia and 2016’s The Art of Fire Emblem Awakening art books, Dark Horse will expand their publishing partnership with Nintendo to include an English-language edition of The Art of Splatoon.

For those who have never played it, Splatoon is Nintendo’s 2015 award-winning game for the Wii U console where players control squid-like characters called Inklings. Players competed against each other to viciously splatter their paint color all over the arenas. While it may sound childish, Splatoon is renowned for its addictive competitive gameplay.

The Art of Splatoon will contain  2D and 3D illustrations of characters, maps, concept art, weapon and gear design, storyboards, sketches, hand-drawn comics, and more. In addition to Splatoon, Dark Horse will also publish  The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts on February 21, 2017.

In addition to publishing partnerships, Nintendo is in the middle of incorporating their popular properties into Universal theme parks. A Splatoon themed virtual paintball experience could also be in the works.

The Art of Splatoon will be in stores June 13, 2017.
