Ware’s Building Stries wins Lynd Ward Prize; Carré and Ellsworth honored
Adding to a pile of kudos that you will soon be able to make an actual building from, Chris Ware's great Building Stories has won the Lynd Ward Prize for Graphic Novel of the Year for 2013. Heads or Tails by Lilli Carré (Fantagraphics) and The Understanding Monster—Book One by Theo Ellsworth (Secret Acres) were the honorable mentions.
The Prize is presented each year by Penn State University Libraries and the Pennsylvania Center for the Book to "the best graphic novel, fiction or non-fiction, published in the previous calendar year by a living U.S. or Canadian citizen or resident."
