One of the great female characters of the 90s is back in the Comics this April when Xena #1 debuts from Dynamite. Written by Genevieve Valentine with art by Ariel Medel, it's a rousing reintroduction of a seminal character, the warrior princess of a savage land, who accompanied by her very good friend Gabrielle had rousing adventures without apology.

Although the comics industry seems to be hitting a rough patch, one thing that I noticed at last week retailer summit is that a bunch of people have just been hired as staffers to actually work in the comics business! And interestingly, many of them are working directly with comics retailers.
