Breaking news! Breaking Cat News is back with a new holiday special! Pucky’s Purrfect Christmas Tips. The link is to the first chapter and then hit next to read the whole searing saga of how robber mice steal Buzzy Mouse and Puck becomes a creature of vengeance. Of course there are also special tips on how cats can "help" with Christmas that any feline owner will recognize and fear.

If there was a tidal wave that swept over the comics world in 2015 it was diversity. Great strides were made, though more needs to be done. And here here's an award to recognize come of what's going on, under the auspices of the Virginia Library Association. Publishers take note; more info here.

Hold on to your shelves. IDW's Artists Edition series has made jaws drop with its stunning series of oversized editions of various comics masterworks, reproduced from the original art. But now for the first time they're collecting the King of Comics, Jack Kirby Marvel work with Jack Kirby’s The Mighty Thor Artist’s Edition. The book will include classic complete stories from Journey Into Mystery #111, #117, #118, along with other stories and a Kirby Gallery.

WOW! Talk about historic finds! DC Comics just tweeted this historic photo from a comics industry Christmas party from 70 years ago. While there is a slight Shining view to it (is that Hank Kanalz I see in the back?), it's also an amazing view into the Golden Age. After it was tweeted DC Comics was kind enough to send me a high res scan which I am sharing with you so all the comics historians out there can pour over it. There is a handwritten guest list as well, but its provenance isn't known so I am not posting it.
