Official US TAMARA DREWE trailer debuts
Forget about THE LOSERS or IRON MAN 2 or SCOTT PILGRIM or any other 2010 comics movie, TAMARA DREWE is the comic book movie event of the year -- at least for indie comics snobs. Based on Posy Simmonds' much-admired graphic novel, the film debuts in the US on October 8th, courtesy of Sony Classics in the US. (It opens in September 10th in Simmonds' native UK.)

Marvel’s summit Daredevil cake and rumors
Marvel has a big writer's summit going on this week, and they celebrated the creative process with cake, as this picture by editor Nate Cosby proves. Does the tribute to Daredevil have anything to do with his regular book ending in November? Only the dessert bar will tell.
Brian Bendis had more from the summit in a message board posting:
the superpowered nanny for Luke Cage and Jessica Jones' baby was voted on and unanimously decided by the entire Marvel editorial team and the attending creators. their first appearance will be in new avengers number seven.

Walking Dead to debut on Halloween
Too early for Halloween plans? Not really. The Walking Dead TV show debuts on Halloween at 10 PM ET with a 90-minute opening episode. Based on Robert Kirkman's comics, the show follows the adventures of the survivors of a zombiepocalypse, and stars Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Shane Walsh, and Sarah Wayne Callies. A four-and-a-half minute trailer was also released, and we would absolutely set our DVR for this while we were out trick or treating!
What Lee and DiDio were really saying
ICv2 has its first comprehensive interview with DC co-publishers Jim Lee and Dan DiDio since the publisher restructured in February. The interview runs in three parts. There's a hint that some of the CMX titles that weren't finished may get picked up by a different publisher, perhaps Dark Horse, and an acknowledgment of the need to keep prices down from DiDio:
