Let's get our Christmas art parade kicked off with Japanese artist Tsuneo Sanda, one of the best known contemporary Star Wars artists -- because nothing says Christmas like Yoda.
Every Star Wars Christmas image brings back distant memories of the "Star Wars Holiday Special" and Bea Arthur's bravura performance as the cantina owner. And the burning question "What do you get a wookie for Christmas (when he already owns a comb)?"

Artist Cameron Stewart has been posting a few pages from BATMAN INCORPORATED: LEVIATHAN STRIKES!, the Grant Morrison-written one shot wrapping up the long-delayed BATMAN INCORPORATED's first season. Michel Fiffe has posted a step-by-step guide to how he pencilled a pin-up for the upcoming 20th Anniversary Madman Monster here's the pencils for the drawing which featured over 100 beloved indie comics characters -- from Frank to the Rocketeer. For the final result -- inked by Michael Allred and colored by Laura Allred -- go to the link. How many can YOU name?
Holiday explorations: Jon Klassen
Jon Klassen is an animator turned illustrator who's pretty amazing. He made the above BAFTA-nominated promot spot for the BBC's Winter Olympics coverage, and worked in character design om such films as Coraline. Now he's switched to books with such things as I WANT MY HAT BACK.
Steve Rude "Jail Update"
According to anew mailer, artist Steve Rude has been instructed by his lawyer not to talk about his case. However "He does want me to pass along his deepest gratitude. He really loves reading any mail that comes his way and words of encouragement to be strong."
You'll recall that on the night of Halloween, Rude was arrested and charged with assault and violating a court order in a dispute with a neighbor.
