The Beat had the pleasure of chatting with the fabulous cast of the haunting new film, The Power of the Dog. Directed by the iconic filmmaker Jane CampionThe Power of the Dog is based on a book of the same name.  

The story takes place in the 1920s and follows the Burbank brothers, Phil (Benedict Cumberbatch) and George (Jesse Plemons) who are cowboys and ranchers in Montana. When a trip introduces the brothers to widow Rose (Kirsten Dunst) and her son Peter (Kodi Smit-McPhee). When kind-hearted George takes a liking to Rose, Phil begins a reign of terror towards Rose and Peter that makes their newly joined family dynamic go awry quickly.
