This comes as little surprise. Criminal #1, which was released earlier this month, marked a monthly return for a series that in the past has won multiple Eisner Awards. The double-sized debut of its most-recent and eighth volume was met with near-universal acclaim from comic websites and critics. This new volume features a story centered on Teeg Lawless, a career criminal whose exploits—as well as those of his children—have run throughout and adjacent to many of the other crime noir stories in previous volumes of Criminal.
The second printing of Criminal #1 is due on February 13, coinciding with the release of Criminal #2.
