The penultimate issue of the supernatural noir series comes from writer Eric Palicki, artist Wendell Cavalcanti, letterer Rob Steen, and cover artist by Liana Kangas. Today The Beat is pleased to exclusively debut a preview of the forthcoming issue, which reveals new information about werewolf private eye Strummer Mercado as she continues her search to find the stolen bullets cast from the silver paid to Judas Iscariot.

Like all AHOY Comics titles, the new issue of Black’s Myth also includes bonus material, in this instance three prose stories: “Old and Alone” by Jonathan Macho and illustrated by Greg Scott; “Rolls Choyce” by Dave Giarrusso and illustrated by his younger brother, Chris Giarrusso; and “The Surface,” by Kirk Vanderbeek and illustrated by Juan Castro.
The first black-and-white offering from AHOY, Palicki and Cavalcanti’s series is a moody tale that smartly blends familiar supernatural elements with the trappings of classic pulpy crime stories, including the complicated politics, ever-present tension, and unexpected humor that come with it. If Raymond Chandler had written a Universal Monster movie, I imagine this is what it would have looked like.
