Black Cloud is one of the delayed Image books, announced back in April, and MIA since. But it’s coming out at last THIS April, as writer Jason Latour tweeted:
Speaking of crazy ambitions: BLACK CLOUD is a book I'm co-writing @ImageComics w/ @IvanBrandon, with art by @greg_hinkle & @TheMattDWilson—

I believe we solicit BLACK CLOUD #1 for April, but get this: We're all but done writing the whole first arc (5 issues) & Greg's drawing #4.

What's BLACK CLOUD? Zelda's from a place where the strongest imagination rules. After a failed revolution she ends up busted & broke in NYC-

So what's a homeless exiled revolutionary with keys to a magical realm to do? Why sneak rich kids back to her homeland for cash of course…
— Jason Latour (@jasonlatour) January 2, 2017
But it's not long before the biggest pay day Zelda will ever see goes sideways– and both her home and ours are out to get her.

Anyway BLACK CLOUD'S been an ambitious & unique project to jam on. Different & exciting & very much about the strange world we now live in.

Always say BLACK CLOUD is "Jessica Jones meets Roger Rabbit." That sounds good right? (Honestly all my pitches are now "meets Roger Rabbit")

Also our editor on BLACK CLOUD is Ms. @solusandra , who deserves some congressional medal of honor just for stomaching all these email puns

This get four issues in the can before it comes out, has been the process at Image for a few years now, where late shipping and skipping books are a problem. But with so many quality books coming out waiting a bit is NBD.
Latour also hinted at another even crazier but unannounced creator owned project.
Looks like I'm starting a craaaaazy new comic creator owned comic. And I have the perfect partner in crime.
— Jason Latour (@jasonlatour) January 2, 2017
That's one of my goals for 2017 anyways. To write a creator owned comic even Jack Kirby would call nuts.

Here’s one of the original preview pages – lookin’ good!
