Artists, Writers, and Artisans (AWA Studios) just launched earlier this year with its Upshot imprint churning out a list of thrilling adult titles featuring supernatural themes, true crime, and more. Now the new publisher is adding iPOP! to its lineup, which promises a lighter, manga-inspired feel. The first program Be Wawa, debuts today, with its first episode “Enter the Dragon.” The story is written by Yoshida and features art by Stan Chou and colors by Maxflan Araujo.

iPOP! shows and tells, with content available in video and webtoon formats. Check out the first installment below:

Be Wawa is also available to read for free on Webtoons and Tapas. Head to AWA’s website for both the first and second episodes. For new installments and updates, follow the new imprint’s handles:

AWA Studios offers a new take on the comic and creative world. Their mission is an environment that supports both creators and retailers while producing quality content for their readers. During the COVID-19 shutdowns, they continued to release their comic titles, many for free, in digital formats on their website. Click here to learn more.

In addition to new content, the company is also in the process of hiring animators, cartoonists, illustrators, and storyboarders (no writers, sorry!). Take a look at their call for talent below.
