Archie Comics has released solicitation information and images for titles shipping in October 2019. Highlights and notable information includes:
- Mariko Tamaki‘s term working on Archie appears to have been extended as Archie #708 marks her third issue co-writing with Nick Spencer. She was originally announced to only be working on two issues of the series.
- On the subject of Archie #708, the issue also features a variant cover with a photo of a cute dog on it, as part of a partnership with the ASPCA. I’m a sucker for cute dog photos, as I’m sure many others are.
- Jughead’s Time Police reaches its final issue, as Sina Grace, Derek Charm, and Matt Herms wrap up Jug’s cross-time, cross-dimensional caper
- In time for Halloween, the conclusion of the Archie Horror crossover Jughead: The Hunger vs. Vampironica by Frank Tieri, Pat & Tim Kennedy, Joe Eisma, and Bob Smith hits stores at the beginning of the month
- Also for Halloween, a pair of one-shots, Archie’s Halloween Spectacular #1 and B&V Friends Forever: Supernatural #1, features classic-style holiday-themed stories
- The ’90s World of Archie series gets the first in a series of collected editions. The TPB will have a slightly smaller trim size, similar to the all-ages-themed TPBs that Marvel has been putting out lately.
