Marvel Comics’ variant cover trend continues. In addition to a slew of covers starring Mary Jane Watson that will grace a whopping 24 (!) titles in October, the publisher revealed an Artgerm variant for The Amazing Mary Jane #1 on Wednesday, depicting MJ as a noir style femme fatale.
This new mini-series was announced at San Diego Comic-Con. The series will feature writing by Leah Williams and interior art by Carlos Gomez. With a plot spinning directly out of The Amazing Spider-Man #25, the series will follow MJ as she takes a chance on her dreams, only to discover that Mysterio is behind it all — and he’s working for someone even more sinister.
