The great Vanessa Davis has a visual essay for Topic, a new online magazine that presents “visual storytelling” about monthly themes. The topic is “Customer Service” and includes her observations on the time she was a building manager (the super!), the difference between NYC and LA, nice restaurants and why we think being treated badly is part of a quality experience. Deep stuff.

Having recently undergone my own “apartment repair” drama, I especially enjoyed that part of the comic. Davis is a wonderful, observant cartoonist and it’s always a pleasure to see her work!
