And one more award! The nominations for the 2019 Mike Wieringo Comic Book Industry Awards nominees (The Ringos) have been announced. Nominees were selected by a combination of professional and fan voting – and it’s a rather eclectic bunch, with several web cartoonists getting major nominations, and some unfamiliar names joining perennial kudo collectors.

Final voting is open to comic book professionals, and can be submitted directly or via the awards website. Voting ends on September 18, 2019. Winners will be presented at the Ringo Awards Banquet and Ceremony in conjunction with the 2019 Baltimore Comic-Con on the evening of Saturday, October 19, 2019.

The Ringo Awards are named after the late artist Mike Wieringo, and represent the best in comics art.
