Super Sons, much like Justice League of America, was the big mystery book of the Rebirth announcement when DC first rolled out their lineup at WonderCon earlier this year. No creative team was announced, and many wondered what the status on the book would be, though the publisher assured everyone that it was a book that was indeed on the horizon.
Reported today by Alex during our live-blog of the DC “Meet the Publishers” panel at NYCC, we now know that Peter Tomasi and Jorge Jimenez will be taking on the title in 2017.
Tomasi and Jimenez have teamed up for a few issues, along with co-writer Patrick Gleason, for the relaunched Superman ongoing to notable critical success.
Super Sons will team the son of Superman and Lois Lane, Jonathan Kent aka Superboy with the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul, Damian Wayne aka Robin.
Super Sons will join the newly announced Batwoman and Justice League of America as part of Rebirth Wave 2.
