The Zombieland: Double Tap trailer is here along with Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin and Woody Harrelson who are all bringing their characters back to life for a zombie-slaying, road-tripping sequel. It’s a step forward for a production fans have been waiting 10 years for.

Double Tap follows the 2009 horror/comedy Zombieland. It’s a post-apocalypse story filled with laughs, love and even more gory action that brings four strangers together in a fight for their lives. This sequel even throws back to the original with its title. Double tap refers Columbus’ second rule: don’t be stingy with your ammo, he says, make sure the walking is actually dead with a second bullet in the head.

Not much has changed since we left our found-family survivors; Columbus (Eisenberg), Tallahassee (Harrelson), Wichita (Stone) and Little Rock (Breslin). They’ve set up shop at the White House when we see them in the trailer’s opening, where Harrelson, feet kicked up on the Resolute Desk, says with a wink “you’re welcome America.”

Gags like that one make this trailer feel right at home with the original. Tallahassee is back to quoting the classics, Columbus is still keeping pals up to date on the rules and Wichita continues her hilarious onslaught of jabs at him. Little Rock, having grown up a bit, is where we see some change. Based on the trailer, it looks like Zombieland: Double Tap will follow the family as they search for Little Rock – and her new boyfriend.

That’s not all. The crew is also joined by Zoey Deutch, Avan Jogia, Rosario Dawson and the apparent doppelgangers of Columbus and Tallahassee, Luke Wilson and Thomas Middleditch.

The zombie-hacking-hilarity ensues when Zombieland: Double Tap hits theaters on October 18. Till then, check out the trailer for yourself.
