Ten years ago, Sony Pictures’ Zombieland proved audiences at the time had a craving for humor with their horror, and if a new poster released by the studio is any indication, they hope moviegoers still have that appetite for Zombieland 2: Double Tap.

Production for the film was announced last year in an exclusive for The Hollywood Reporter. It confirmed the return of original stars Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin; director Ruben Fleischer and writing duo Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will also be back for the sequel – all three have since worked in the comic book genre with Fleischer having directed Venom and Reese and Wernick writing the two Deadpool movies.

The movie will also feature series newcomers Rosario Dawson (Luke Cage) and Zoey Deutch (Set It Up).

Details are light in regards to plot involving Zombieland 2, but we know Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, and Little Rock will continue to travel the apocalypse as a found family. Their journey will take them to important American landmarks, which is confirmed in the poster: the number ‘2’ is decorated in hellish fire and places such as the Washington Monument.

The Zombieland 2 poster also teases a release date for October 18, 2019 and with that date looming around the corner like a hungry brain eater, hopefully we’ll see a trailer soon.
