Hard to believe we’re nearly at the endgame for this season of Young Justice: Outsiders when 3-part finale arrives next week on the DC Universe streaming platform.

I think it’s safe to assume that the majority of Young Justice: Outsiders fans watch new episodes within a day if not within the hour they’re available. Nevertheless, I’ll refrain from spoiling the pulse-pounding ending of this week’s episode “Terminus.” I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention this Instagram post from character designer Phil Bourassa that captured all the feels for longtime viewers.

In anticipation for the explosive finale, DC Universe has released a video teaser:

Many long brewing storylines are coming to a head. From siblings Brion and Tara Markov facing off against Baron Bedlam, their uncle responsible for the murder of their parents, to Beast Boy doing battle with Gretchen Goode (a.k.a. Granny Goodness) who can clearly hold her own in battle.

Teased in an earlier episode, Lex Luthor’s attempt to co-opt the Outsiders in the form of his own Infinity, Inc. team will also come into play. DC Comics fans who read the 52 weekly series will remember that this plot point is based on Luthor’s Everyman Project initiative which gave powers to non-metahumans leading to the formation of a new iteration of the Infinity, Inc. team. You don’t have to have to comic to know that whenever Lex Luthor is involved, things don’t turn out well.

No official word when to expect the 4th season of Young Justice announced at the DC Universe panel at SDCC last month. Considering the 2nd season finale saw Kid Flash heroically meeting his end, fans should be bracing themselves for the possibility that not everyone is making it out of this Young Justice: Outsiders in one piece.

The teenage Super Heroes of the DC Universe come of age in an animated world of super-powers, Super-Villains and super secrets in YOUNG JUSTICE: OUTSIDERS, the highly anticipated new take on Warner Bros. Animation’s popular YOUNG JUSTICE series. The team faces its greatest challenge yet as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.
