Marvel’s Dawn of X initiative is underway. First issues of Jonathan Hickman and Leinil Yu‘s X-Men and Gerry Duggan and Matteo Lolli‘s Marauders are both in stores now, with additional titles Excalibur, X-Force, Fallen Angels, and New Mutants debuting in the coming weeks. Now the publisher has revealed updated content information for a pair of issues being released in December, X-Men #4 and New Mutants #4.

Here’s the updated info on the two titles:

When Armor and her team set off to bring their friends home to Krakoa, they thought it’d be an easy sell and a quick trip. Then everything went sideways, and now they’re in serious trouble—looks like it’s time to call in the cavalry. But will that be enough to turn the tide?

The original solicitation information for X-Men #4 was in combination with the info on X-Men #3, and described a trip to the Savage Land and a confrontation with an old foe for the team. The previous cover for the issue by Yu featured Storm and Armor:

EARTH’S MOST POWERFUL! CYCLOPS STORMS THE SAVAGE LAND!
The most powerful heroes of the dominant species on the planet, the X-Men rise to protect the world against any threat. From a new foe in the Savage Land to an old nemesis’ surprising return…

At the time X-Men #4 was originally solicited, House of X and Powers of X were still ongoing, and the full Krakoan council had not yet been revealed. The lack of individual solicit for the issue was, if I had to guess, likely done as a means to avoid spoiling things.

Meanwhile, the update for New Mutants is more substantial, both in terms of content and creative team. The originally solicited Hickman and Rod Reis issue, which would have advanced the storyline featuring the original New Mutants in space, is replaced with one by series co-writer Ed Brisson and artist Marco Failla that looks to continue the series’s earth-bound storyline. Here’s what was originally solicited for the issue:

These changes come in time for retailers to adjust their orders accordingly, as FOC for both issues isn’t until Monday, November 18th. Both X-Men #4 and New Mutants #4 are scheduled for released digitally and in comic shops on Wednesday, December 18th.
