Marvel Comics has revealed this winter’s Incursions series will see the return of the X-Men: Evolution incarnations of the characters in the one-shot X-Men ’92: Incursions. Written by Craig Kyle & Chris Yost (both of whom contributed to the original show), with art by Salva Espin, the comic will reveal how the team faced off against their ’90s animated series counterparts in the run-up to 2015’s Secret Wars. Like each issue, it will have two covers emphasizing mirroring versions of a character, who in this case is Rogue:
X-Men: Evolution, which ran on the Kids’ WB from 2000 to 2003, featured teenage versions of mutants like Cyclops, Jean Grey, Shadowcat, and Rogue, who attended an average high school (run by a disguised Mystique) while living at Professor X’s mansion. Its biggest contribution to the X-Men mythos was Wolverine’s daughter Laura X-23 (created by Yost and Kyle), who debuted on the show before her first appearance in the comics. A nine-issue comic ran in 2002, but the series had (until now) remained untouched by Marvel’s search for a nostalgic audience.
The book will be released on January 6, 2027. Marvel also revealed the covers and synopses for Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, and Avengers: Incursions, which’ll similarly reveal battles from before Secret Wars:
Spider-Man: Incursions (out December 9), by Christos Gage and Ron Lim: “Spider-Gwen vs. Spider-Girl! Gwen Stacy the Ghost-Spider meets Mayday Parker, A.K.A. Spider-Girl, when Earth-65 and Earth-982 collide! The web of the Spider-Verse will never be the same!”

Avengers: Incursions (January 20), by Al Ewing and Fran Mariscal Mancilla: “Marvel’s best vs. Marvel’s worst! Two Earths face off against each other for survival! One is an Earth where the early days of the Marvel Universe never ended, where the Avengers are still the founding lineup, where Spider-Man is still a high schooler. The other is an Earth ruled by Thanos and the monstrous villains of the Cabal. It’s the ultimate heroes vs. the ultimate villains! Can these Avengers defeat a group of foes at the heart of Secret Wars, or were they always doomed from the start?”
The one-shots will kick off with Alex Paknadel & Jim Towe‘s “Days of Future Past”/House of M crossover X-Men: Incursions on November 18, a month before the MCU’s incursions unfold in Avengers: Doomsday.
