It’s Saturday, so let’s have a look at some of the current digital comics sales in progress.

First up, there’s the “Rogue & Gambit” sale.  Something about a wedding celebration?  Here’s the Amazon link and here’s the Comixology link.  There’s a lot of Scott Lobdell and Howard Mackie material in here that I can’t really recommend.  If you’re into that era, you already know what you like.  Otherwise, the recent Astonishing X-Men is solid encounter with the Shadow King (timed just after the season finale of Legion).

Sex Criminals is on sale.  Here’s the Amazon link and here’s the Comixology link.  This is the story of a couple who discover they have a super power.  They can make time stop when they, as Shakespeare would put it, “make the beast with two backs.”  So they use this power to rob banks.  Suffice to say, not for younger readers.

There’s a “Dynamite Heroines” sale.  Here’s the Amazon link and here’s the Comixology link.  Did you know the original writers when Dynamite first started doing Red Sonja were Mike Carey and Michael Avon Oeming?  Rick Remender’s Devolution flew a little under the radar when it came out.  I’ve heard generally good things about Wonder Woman ’77 Meets the Bionic Woman and let’s face it, if you’re having a heroines sale…

And finally there’s a “BOOM! Pride” sale.  It’s one that Amazon mirrors the Comixology sale pricing for, but I haven’t seen a formal sale page on that side of the fence.  There are two notable YA/”BOOM! Box” series on sale: Giant Days and Lumberjanes.  (And Giant Days, V. 1 is a dirt cheap $1.99.)
