Another new publisher?  It’s true, but Vault Comics has found some excellent material to launch with. Te AV CLub had the deets on their first six titles, which launch starting in February starting with Heathen, a “beloved lesbian Viking Comic” by Natasha Alterici.

Vault is run by editor Adrian Wassel. Their first six titles include:

  • Heathen by Alterici
  • Fissure by Tim Daniel and Patricio Delpeche, socially conscious Horror
  • Powerless by David Booher and Nathan Gooden, a dystopian SF tale
  • Karma Police by Chris Lewis and Tony Gregori, a Buddhist action comedy
  • Colossi by Ricardo Mo and Alberto Muriel, a retro SF series
  • Failsafe by F.J. DeSanto, Todd Farmer, and Federico Dallocchio, more SF with a lot of political commentary.

We’ll have previews of the rest of the line-up but for now, here’s the first  look at the  alternate cover for Heathens #1 by Nathan Gooden. 01_HEATHEN_CVR_V4_Gooden_SPREAD
Heathen was originally Kickstarterd by Alterici (whose work has been seen at DC and other mainstream publishers), and published in two volumes and online. But the Vault edition will bring it to a wider audience. It’s gorgeous work.
