Valiant has hired Charlotte Greenbaum, formerly of Double Take, as an associate editor where she’ll help EIC Warren Simons herd along a passel of projects, including ICONS, NINJA-K #1X-O MANOWAR (2017), and SECRET WEAPONS. She joins an editorial team that includes Associate Editor Danny Khazem, and Assistant Editors Benjamin Peterson and David Menchel.

“These are exciting times for Valiant. Between record-setting launches for X-O MANOWAR #1 and SECRET WEAPONS #1, this has been a banner year for our universe, and it’s only going to get bigger as we gear up for our next Valiant ‘ICONS’ launches with BLOODSHOT SALVATION, NINJA-K, and QUANTUM & WOODY! throughout the fall and winter,” said Valiant Editor-in-Chief Warren Simons. “As we continue to bring our biggest and most demanded characters back into the spotlight, we’re thrilled to welcome Charlotte aboard. She has already proven herself to be a talented editor with an exceptional eye for storytelling, and we look forward to seeing what she will bring to NINJA-K, X-O MANOWAR, and several other projects in the months ahead.”

In case you are wondering, Greenbaum isn’t the first woman in Valiant’s editorial – Lauren Hitzhusen was an assistant editor there for a while, where she spearheaded the world-changing Cosplay Cat Cover Variants. If there’s been a ding on Valiant it’s that their content skews heavily towards the boy side of comics, and as we’ve seen repeatedly, a wider audience means wider sales. valiant.jpg

  1. YAY!! Happy to see this!

More women-skewing comics at Valiant would be a good thing. Jody Houser can’t write everything, guys!
