In the age of social distancing, the actors who make up the cast of Umbrella Academy are getting together (sort of) to announce the release date for the Netflix series second season: July 31st, 2020.

The video announcement for the release date of the second season features footage of the seven stars of the series, which is based on the comics by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, both of whom serve as co-executive producers on the series, with showrunner Steve Blackman as executive producer along with Jeff F. King, Mike Richardson, and Keith Goldberg.

Min (Ben – the Horror), each filming themselves in their own respective places of quarantine as they all dance to Tiffany’s 1987 recording of the song “I Think We’re Alone Now.”

The series follows the seven superpowered Hargreeves, who had been estranged from one another but reunited during the events of the first season due to the death of their adoptive patriarch, Sir Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore). Then, the siblings are forced to work together more closely than they ever have before when one of their number gains new power and becomes a supervillain themselves, threatening the future of the planet.
