DC has announced a trio of new Batman one-shots to be published in July, including two Batman Secret Files comics and a Batman / Catwoman special, written by that maxiseries’ writer (Tom King) and illustrated by the great John Paul Leon.

And we’ll get to the Batman / Catwoman Special, but first the other Batman one-shots. These two are part of a new series, which the publisher billed as “spotlighting solo adventures of the Dark Knight’s crimefighting allies” in its own announcement post. Dubbed Batman Secret Files, it will publish two issues in July.

Batman Secret Files #1 is due out on July 6, and it will feature The Signal, with a story from writer Tony Patrick and artist Christian Duce. It’s going to clock in at 40 pages and feature a cover by Ken Lashley and a variant by Cully Hamner. Batman Secret Files #2 will hit on July 27, and it will see Detective Comics writer Mariko Tamaki teaming with Stray Bullets creator, David Lapham. That comic will be about Huntress, and it will also clock in at 40 pages, with a cover by Irvin Rodriguez and a variant by Riccardo Federici.

The Batman / Catwoman special will hit on July 20, filling in for the regular 12-issue series that month. It will be illustrated by Leon with colors by Dave Stewart. A full description from DC Comics can be found below, followed by the covers to all three Batman one-shots…

Some great romances are destined to be.

The Batman/Catwoman series shows readers the romance between Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle as it changed over their lives, but what about their connections from before they became costumed adventurers? Whether it was fate or coincidence, this story gives even more reasons why Selina and Bruce’s connection is one of the most enduring love affairs in comics.
