It sounds like Fat Jack’s Comicrypt in Philly is all about the Crisis.  On Thursday, September 27, they having Tom King in to sign Heroes in Crisis #1, but that’s not enough Crisis for one day.  They’ve also arranged for an exhibition of some George Perez / Jerry Ordway original art from Crisis on Infinite Earths #8, which are not normal available for a public viewing.

Official PR follows:

Tom King, renowned writer of the eternally popular and top selling Batman comic book series from DC Entertainment, as well as the quirky and eccentric fan favorites Mr. Miracle and Marvel’s The Vision, will be appearing at Fat Jack’s Comicrypt Thursday, Sept. 27 from 3:30 to 6:30 pm to sign the highly anticipated upcoming release of Heroes in Crisis #1 from DC Comics.

This new series involves nearly every character of the DC Universe. “How does a superhero handle PTSD? Welcome to Sanctuary, an ultra-secret hospital for superheroes who’ve been traumatized by crime-fighting and cosmic combat. But something goes inexplicably wrong when many patients wind up dead.”

In addition to the above, Mr. King wrote one of the most memorable Superman stories of all time in Action Comics #1000 – the landmark issue of the longest running superhero title of all time.  Fat Jack’s will have all covers on hand for sale in addition to being well stocked on Batman and other best-selling collections penned by Mr. King.

“We’ve been very fortunate at the store, as we’ve hosted many great creators over the years for signings including Neil Gaiman, Alex Ross, Neal Adams, Bill Willingham, Charles Soule and many more.  One of the first creators who signed at Fat Jack’s was the late, great Marshall Rogers.  We are honored to have someone of Tom King’s stature at our store to meet our loyal fans.”  Mike Ferrero – Owner Fat Jack’s Comicrypt.
