Good morning! Here to help you wake up, hopefully, is the latest trailer for the long-awaited sequel to Pixar’s The Incredibles.

With The Incredibles 2, now that superheroes are back in the spotlight after the defeat of Syndrome, the Parr family has to now balance their domestic bliss with Elastigirl’s return to capes and tights profession. It’s up to Mr. Incredible to hold down the homestead and deal with the emerging powerset of their youngest, Jack-Jack.

Wild looking action! A neat looking new villain! Bob Odenkirk! I think fans of the first have a lot to look forward to here, and honestly, for my own sake, I’m hoping they spend more time at home and fighting about vegetables for dinner than tossing cars around.

It hits theaters on June 15th, right in the middle of the busiest blockbuster season of the year.

  1. Might be predictable, but fun anyway. The social message, the Mr. Mom stuff… it’s just what gets produced these days. Doesn’t mean it can’t be good. Still I contrast with the last film when Hellen was emotionally crippling her daughter and son in the first part by continually telling them not to use their powers, then ruthlessly pushing them in the second part to use their powers. It’ll be interesting to see the change here.
