We’re back with another exclusive preview this week and it’s a big one, the latest in the ongoing multiversal serial that is Grant Morrison‘s and Liam Sharp‘s The Green Lantern. I can’t tell you how ravenously I devour each issue, and while earlier issues saw the team play a bit within various superhero-based genres (a tribute to DC’s sci-fi Silver Age adventures here, an Adams/O’Neil riff there, etc…), they’ve now dived deep in the meaty material that Morrison and his collaborators developed for The Multiversity, with Hal on Earth-15 with a cadre of Green Lanterns including the great Mike Barr and Jerry Bingham Batman/Green Lantern mash from Batman: In Darkest Night.
As everyone knows, Hal and Bruce do NOT get along, and not even a Corps ring is going to change that fact. Hey, also, Star Sapphire is back! Now if the return of a powered up Carol Ferris can’t get you into the comic shop this week to pick up this exhilarating new issue, I just don’t know what else will. But here’s a preview to whet your appetite, exclusive to The Beat!
