After faithfully trying to keep up with the sheer deluge of Greg Berlanti produced television on The CW, this was the year I finally gave up on trying to keep up with the day to day. I think Supergirl is the only one I’m still interested in, but that has more to do with my ongoing love affair with all Superman related media (though the pilot episode of Krypton challenged even that)…but my tastes aside, the Arrowverse – which includes hit series like Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Black Lightning (which I don’t think is set in the same universe as those other shows, but maybe that’s changed since the first episode?), The Flash – and the completely unconnected, not DC-based, but still Berlanti-produced Riverdale, keeps on chugging on.

And today, The CW a slate of renewals for 10 different series including those listed above. So for those playing along at home, in the Fall Arrow will enter Season 7(!!), The Flash Season 5, Supergirl Season 4, Legends of Tomorrow Season 4, Riverdale Season 3, and Black Lightning Season 2. Riverdale is especially notable as it saw an appreciable ratings uptick, thanks to the first season being available on Netflix for binging – which is admittedly how I also watched that first season at home.

The network has yet to make a decision on the future iZombie, but otherwise it looks like their 2018-2019 schedule will remain as comics-focused as ever, and despite the tough times DC-based properties are facing on the big screen, they’re finding a strong, diehard fanbase over the airwaves.

How are you all enjoying the current seasons of these shows?
