While its feature films may be hit or miss, television series based on DC Comics aren’t slowing down anytime soon.

Today Syfy released a new trailer for the upcoming Krypton show set before the planet’s inevitable destruction. Focusing on Seg-El, the grandfather of Kal-El, better known as the Man of Steel a.k.a. Superman, as he tries to restore his family’s name.

The trailer also gives us our first look at Adam Strange who will be time traveling to Krypton’s past sans the character’s iconic space suit. Other classic DC Comics appearing over the course of the series include Brainiac, Hawkwoman, and Doomsday as revealed by Geoff Johns at last year’s SDCC.

Krypton premieres on SyFy March 21st.

Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe, The Halcyon) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos.

Based on DC characters, Krypton is executive produced by David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Dark Knight trilogy).  Cameron Welsh (Ash vs Evil Dead) will serve as executive producer and showrunner.
