Sweet Tooth: The Return, a new six-issue miniseries from DC Comics and writer/artist Jeff Lemire, is slated to launch with a first issue due out Nov. 3, the publisher has announced.
Lemire has been teasing a revival of his classic sci-fi Vertigo book for a number of weeks now, dating back to when the show was announced to be getting a new television adaptation via Netflix. Now, it’s official. Joining Lemire on this project is colorist Jose Villarubia.
The book is being billed by DC Comics as “no re-hash of the original series, but rather a bold re-imagining of the Sweet Tooth mythology; taking elements of the original series and remixing them into something familiar, but totally new.”
