Superman Red Son premiere

Based on DC’s famed Elseworlds tale from 2003, Superman: Red Son takes place in an alternate reality where the spaceship bearing the last survivor of Krypton crash lands – not in rural Kansas, but in Stalinist Russia. Can this Cold War-era Earth survive the coming of a Soviet Superman?

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment, Superman: Red Son will be distributed February 25, 2020 by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Digital, and April 17 on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD.

Superman Red Son Premiere

  1. I’m a bit confused. Why make this movie after the story was adapted into most of last season of Supergirl, with way more depth and time to breathe? Isn’t there someone at DC in charge of projects coordination or something? I mean, simultaneous cartoon and live action Harley, multiple jokers, two concurrent Flash projects, Diggle and a completely unrelated Green lantern development… I could go on like this forever.
DC has so many good characters and stories to be mined, I’m wondering why they keep repeating the same handful of things over and over again. It’s frustrating.

  2. I’m more curious about why the clip shows this as rated ‘R’. This seems to be an error as the movie has already been rated as PG-13.

  3. @SuperPRGuy Gary Miereanu confirmed in a tweet that the R-rating was an error that will be corrected for future clips. Superman: Red Son is rated PG-13.
