With it almost time to return to The Upside Down, Legacy Recordings has announced a new soundtrack for the upcoming Stranger Things season three. Back in 2017, Legacy Recordings released Stranger Things: Music From The Original Netflix Series; it was a toe tapping compilation of ’80s tunes featured on the first two seasons of the time period sci-fi drama, bridged by audio clips from the show.
Stranger Things: Soundtrack From the Netflix Original Series, Season 3, will be similar to this previous project. According to Legacy Recordings’ press release, “[It] will feature 15 classic tracks and the debut of an original cast recording.”
Also mentioned in the press release is that there will be multiple versions for all your listening needs. On July 5, digital and CD editions hit stores; an FYE-exclusive cassette version will also be released. Later in the month, on July 26, there will be a 12″ vinyl edition (with mini-poster and bonus 7″ vinyl single) released.
Legacy Recordings says, “Exclusive colored variants of the vinyl with bonus items will be available at Walmart, Target and Urban Outfitters while an alternate cover edition will be available that day at Barnes & Noble.”
