Saturday, June 4th, 2022 is the 40th anniversary of the release of classic 1982 science fiction revenge film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. To celebrate, Star Trek will be presenting the Summer of Sweet Revenge!

The festivities will include curated episodes and movies on Paramount+, screenings of the movie and activations in select cities, pop-ups in Los Angeles, New York City, and at San Diego Comic Con, and team-ups with Funko and Coolhaus. Stabbing at Kirk from Hell’s heart is optional, but encouraged!

Wrath of P’Khan Ice Cream Truck

Perhaps the sweetest part of the Summer of Sweet Revenge will be the Wrath of P’Khan ice cream truck from women-owned ice cream brand Coolhaus. 

On June 4th, Trekkies in NYC will get their opportunity to taste sweet revenger thanks to a special branded ice cream truck will be bringing limited-edition Wrath of P’Khan ice cream sandwiches to Prince Street and Green Street in SoHo.

The truck will then continue to Los Angeles to celebrate National Ice Cream Day (July 17th) in Santa Monica at 2nd Street and Santa Monica Boulevard.

And then the Wrath of P’Khan truck will be present at San Diego Comic Con from July 21st through July 24th.

Khan’s Thicc, Thicc Treasure Chest of Fun

In partnership with Funko, a vote has been taking place on the official Star Trek web shop between “Battle-Ready Khan” and “Post-Battle Khan.” The vote will conclude tonight, June 3rd, at 11:59 PM EST, and the winning design will be announced on June 4th and available to preorder on June 6th.

And thanks to a partnership between Paramount Home Entertainment and Fathom Events, “The Wrath of Khan” will appear on over 2,500 movie theater screens on September 4th, 5th, and 6th, during the TCM Big Screen Classics series.

The Wrath of Khan was written by Jack B. Sowards, directed by Nicholas Meyer, and features an unforgettable score by James Horner.
