The breakthrough hero of the Across The Spider-Verse movie is getting his own comic run. Popularized by his portrayal by actor Daniel Kaluuya, Spider-Punk is one character quite beloved by fans with his anti-establishment and punk rocker persona who wants to do more than nothing else, to change the status quo. Kicking off a brand-new run written by Cody Ziglar with art by Justin Mason, the new comics trailer showcases his Spider-Band and partnership with Black Panther, as the hero takes on the villains of Earth-138.
“It feels so friggin’ cool to dive back into Earth-138 with Justin and explore the world of Hobie and the Spider-band even more!” says series writer Cody Zilar in an interview with IGN. “There’s some new additions to the Spider-Punk roster, some real dope villains, and some other cool stuff I don’t wanna spoil… but absolutely cannot wait for folks! And yes, there’ll 100% be a Spider-Punk Playlist Vol 2!”
