I KILL GIANTS opens on March 23, an increasingly common non-superhero comics based movie take from the Joe Kelly/Ken Niimura comic about a young girl’s fantasy world escape from real life troubles. Directed by Anders Walter, with a story by Kelly, it stars Zoe Saldana, Imogen Poots, Madison Wolfe and Sydney Wade. The official poster was just revealed and while it’s a more movie posterized look than the original comic’s cover, it still fits in with the comic’s mood. Here’s the synopsis:
Barbara Thorson (Madison Wolfe) is a teenage girl who escapes the realities of school and a troubled family life by retreating into her magical world of fighting evil giants. With the help of her new friend Sophia (Sydney Wade) and her school counselor (Zoe Saldana), Barbara learns to face her fears and battle the giants that threaten her world.
