After months of anticipation, the first Sonic the Hedgehog live-action trailer has arrived and it’s a doozy. With plenty of callbacks to the original video game and the era in which it was popularized (including, for some reason, Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise” acting as the soundtrack), this trailer delivers plenty of Sonic’s signature speed. It also gives us our first glimpse at his furry limbs in motion, which may or may not be a good thing.
Oh, and he has human teeth. That’s a thing.
In addition, the trailer provides our first look at the star-studded cast, which includes James Marsden, Jim Carrey, Neal McDonough and Tika Sumpter. Ben Schwartz provides the voice for Sonic.
Check out the Sonic the Hedgehog trailer below. The film hits theaters Nov. 8, 2019.

  1. This looks utterly awful. But people who have nostalgic memories of the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie might want to see it …

  2. As a fan, not a fan. Sheesh. …And the status quo of mediocre to awful video game movie adaptations continue.
