Next month, BOOM! Studios will release Sirens of the City #1. The first issue of the series comes from the creative team of writer Joanne Starer, artist Khary Randolph, and letterer Deron Bennett. Today, ahead of the issue’s final order cutoff, The Beat is pleased to offer an early look at the many variant covers for the series debut, as well as a preview of some of the interior pages.

Here’s how BOOM! describes the issue:

New York City. 1980s.

Runaway teen Layla struggles to survive the mean streets, far from home. Meanwhile, every supernatural creature–from sirens to incubi–descend upon the city…all in vying for control of Layla and the pregnancy she never wanted.

Sirens of the City was originally published by Starer and Randolph online as part of their Glass Eye Studios Substack newsletter. Two chapters of the series are currently available to read via Substack for free and paid subscribers.

Sirens of the City #1 features a main cover and a 1:50 foil version by Randolph, and variant covers by Jenny Frison (open-to-order and 1:10 foil version), Lee Garbett (1:25), David Mack (1:75), and Skottie Young (FOC Reveal).

You can check out all of those covers below, followed by a preview of pages from the book. Sirens of the City #1 is due out in stores and digitally on Wednesday, July 12th. The final order cutoff date for the issue is next Monday, June 12th.
