AVERY KAPLAN: This weekend, I’m going to be reading Star Trek: The Next Generation Warped: An Engaging Guide to the Never-Aired 8th Season by Star Trek: Lower Decks creator Mike McMahan, with illustrations by Jason Ho (whose resume includes cover work for late, great Bongo Comics). Then, I’m going to be checking out some classic Josie and the Pussycat comics thanks to the She’s Josey collection from Archie Comics.
TAIMUR DAR: I really enjoyed X-Men: Grand Design and with the recently announced Hulk: Grand Design, it seems fitting to check out the Fantastic Four: Grand Design by Tom Scioli. Really enjoyed Scioli’s Jack Kirby bio graphic novel, so looking forward to see his approach to Marvel’s First Family.
DEAN SIMONS: ‘Tis the season to finish everything I started…so I will be putting the time into the rest of the last book in Kendare Blake’s Three Dark Crowns quadrilogy, Five Dark Fates, and reading the rest of my 2000AD subscription backlog – all to start afresh in 2022.
