Renegade Arts Entertainment is set to publish cartoonist Jarret Hartnell‘s first full-length graphic novel in April, and The Beat has an exclusive preview. Shout Kill Revel puts a Lovecraftian spin on the Civil War, uniting dark horror with a Western-style drama.
The story follows a young woman named Helmina, who’s believed to be the messiah of the Undrowned Order cult. They believe that one day, the darkness within her will awaken and release some unimaginable horror upon the world. As that fateful day approaches, Helmina has to face what’s coming, since running from it all doesn’t seem to be working…
