Seven Seas surprised many readers with a random Monday announcement that they had picked up the license for RUN WILD: Sa Ye, a very popular modern day romantic drama danmei (Chinese boys love) novel that many fans had been clamoring for.

This danmei series has already insprired numerous multimedia adaptations follows two young men that discover just how much their lives change once they find each other.
One day Jiang Cheng leaves the home of his cold, adoptive parents to live in an even colder, gray city with his gambling addict of a deadbeat father. Alone, with nothing but his suitcase, the rebellious teenage boy arrives at the train station where his life will change forever. The very moment he steps off the platform, Jiang Cheng bumps into the peculiar Gu Miao, along with her big brother Gu Fei – a boy his age with a musical staff shaved into his hair.
Jiang Cheng begins to hear rumors that Gu Fei is bad news with dark secrets of his own, but Jiang Cheng still finds himself pulled toward the delinquent. Eventually an unlikely friendship forms between them, and Jiang Cheng begins to uncover the hidden depths of Gu Fei…and the hidden depths of his own feelings.
The Seven Seas English-language edition of this romantic drama will feature exclusive new art.
Run Wild: Sa Ye (Novel) Vol. 1 will be released in the English language in early 2025, with a cover price of $19.99 USA / $25.99 CAN. The books will be presented as large-trim paperback editions as part of the Seven Seas Danmei imprint. Ebook editions will also be available on digital platforms.
