Marvel’s Next Big Thing is here, and to no one’s surprise, it’s the first wave of X-Men books following writer Jonathan Hickman‘s total rehaul of the line beginning with House of X and Powers of X. At the publisher’s Saturday panel at San Diego Comic-Con International, six titles known as the Dawn of X were announced, all of which were sussed out by fans after Hickman posted a cipher to Twitter on Friday.

House of X and Powers of X lay the groundwork for a whole new world of X-Men stories for years to come, and the Dawn of X books are the promise of that new world come to life,” said X-Men Senior Editor Jordan D. White. “They are the start of the new era that will change how we think of the X-Men and the kinds of stories we tell with them. It all begins here.”

These new series will kick off the first phase of Hickman’s massive, multi-year plan for the X-Men, “redefining everything the world knows about mutants and their place” in the Marvel Universe. Without further ado, here are the titles, creative teams, solicit text and first issue covers for the first six Dawn of X titles.

  1. I’m surprised to see these books don’t share some unifying design element or mnemonic, beyond the similarity in font style for all the titles, considering Hickman’s penchant for innivative book design and graphic systems.
