Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) will now be the official onsite comic grading service for the ReedPOP shows Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) and Emerald City Comicon (ECCC) through 2019.
CGC is the company that popularizied “slabbing” the most valuable comics – encasing them in eternal crystaline plastic. They also meticulously grade individual comics up to the highest standards. Now C2E2 and ECCC attendees will be able to avail themselves of this service, which is getting more and more popular.
“We are ecstatic to have CGC be the official onsite comic grading service at our future events. They have an amazing reputation in the hobby for their level of consistency and integrity,” said Lance Fensterman, Global Senior Vice President of ReedPOP. “This addition just adds another special aspect to our Shows as Fans can purchase and trade all their collectibles and get them graded onsite.”

C2E2 takes place April 21-23 in the South Building at McCormick Place, while Emerald City Comicon is March 2-5 at the Washington State Convention Center.
