Dark Horse Comics has announced Raiders, a new fantasy adventure graphic novel. Written by Daniel Freedman and illustrated by CROM, the book tells the story of two dungeon-raiding brothers who unwittingly uncover a secret that could remake their entire society.

Marken and Maron, inseparable brothers, are dungeon raiders in a land ruled by corrupt royals and filled with fantastic dangers around every turn. But just as the aging Marken decides that it’s time to give up the raiding life, both brothers find themselves at the wrong end of the powers that be and stumble upon a secret that may unravel the entire political system.
Raiders is the first solo-written project by Freedman, who previously co-wrote Burn the Orphanage with co-writer/artist Sina Grace, as well as Undying Love with co-writer/artist Tomm Coker, both for Image Comics. Freedman has also colored projects for Marvel and Image, including the aforementioned Undying Love. CROM, real name Christian Ortiz, is an illustrator and cartoonist, and the creator of The Golden Campaign webseries. Raiders will be CROM’s first graphic novel.
