Valiant Entertainment has announced that Quantum & Woody, the irreverent duo of superheroic brothers, will be returning with a brand new series and a fresh creative team on January 29th, 2020.
The new creative team includes writer Christopher Hastings, who has plenty of experience with comedic superpowered antics thanks to his incredible run on The Unbelievable Gwenpool, as well as artist Ryan Browne, whose work on Curse Words has given him ample opportunity to draw uncanny action (and a whole lot of different animals, which is probably going to come in handy here).
Eric and Woody Henderson are two brothers who are forced to tolerate one another or face oblivion (literally, as if they don’t manage to “klang” the bands on their respective wrists together every twenty-four hours, they will dissolve). At the end of the previous series, they were on the lam, and this story will open with the characters struggling to improve their reputation.
The new series will give the brothers plenty of opportunities to prove their mettle – or, alternatively, plenty of chances to muck things up even further – with everything from haunted high schools to serial kidnappers to the attempted assassination of government figures coming their way.
The creative team also includes Ruth Redmond on colors and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou on letters, as well as some outstanding artists on covers: Erica Henderson, Dave Johnson, Dave Lopez, and David Nakayama.
Editing the book is Heather Antos, who has previously edited excellent books like Deadpool, The Unbelievable Gwenpool, and Star Wars: Doctor Aphra.
On top of the other misadventures awaiting the “world’s worst superhero duo,” the upcoming series also promises that the brothers will be gaining access to some brand-new powers. It all starts when Quantum & Woody returns on January 29th, 2020, and the adventure is taking place at your local comic shop!
