Later this month Image Comics will release Plush #2. The second issue of the six-issue miniseries about serial-killing, cannibalistic furries comes from the creative team of writer Doug Wagner, artist Daniel Hillyard, colorist Rico Renzi, and letterer Ed Dukeshire. Today The Beat is pleased to present an exclusive first look at the issue, which finds our hero, Devin, caught between two groups who want to kill him for very different reasons.

Here’s how Image describes Plush #2:

Still in his overly ripe fursuit, Devin can only watch from his jail cell as two very disparate groups fight over him-the jealous deputy and his friends, intent on staging his death, and a group of psychotic, cannibalistic furries that wish to invite him over for dinner.

Along with a main cover by Hillyard, the new issue of the series from the 12-Gauge Comics collective also sports variant covers by Tony Fleecs and Jorge Corona & Sarah Stern, as well as a Spawn team-up cover by Hillyard and Renzi.

Plush is the latest 12-Gauge-produced series from Image Comics, and the latest in Wagner and Hillyard’s “Materials” series after Plastic and Vinyl

Check out the exclusive four-page preview of Plush #2 (of 6) below. The next installment in the series is due out in stores and digitally on Wednesday, December 28th.
