Author Lauren Tarshis is going to be virtually visiting five bookstores over the course of the next few months, and you can sign up to attend the conversations she’ll have at each online! With the Scholastic Graphix adaptation of I Survived: The Attacks of September 11, 2001 being published on August 3rd, 2021, Tarshis will be speaking with a series of authors and illustrators who have themselves worked on books related to the 9/11 attacks on New York City.

Scheduled Appearances for Tarshis
On Tuesday, August 3rd, at 6:00 pm Mountain Standard Time, Tarshis is visiting Second Star to the Right Books in Denver, Colorado where she will be in conversation with Jewell Parker Rhodes, the author of Towers Falling. You can sign up for that event through eventbrite here.
On Thursday, August 12th, at 6:00 pm Mountain Standard Time, Tarshis will be appearing at a virtual event hosted by Bookwords in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in which she will be in conversation with Don Brown, author and illustrator of In the Shadow of the Fallen Towers. Next, on Tuesday, August 17th at 4:00 pm Pacific Standard Time, Tarshis will appear at a virtual event hosted by {pages} a bookstore in Manhattan Beach, California, in which she will be in conversation with Alyssa Bermudez, author and illustrator of Big Apple Diaries. On Tuesday, August 24th at 6:00 pm Pacific Standard Time, Tarshis will appear along with Egbert, the illustrator of I Survived: The Attacks of September 11, 2001, at a virtual event hosted by Bookshop Santa Cruz in Santa Cruz, California.
