NYCC ‘26: IDW goes Dark, takes over publisher’s New York Comic Con booth

IDW Dark will dominate the publisher's presence at NYCC ahead of its takeover of the whole line next year.

New York Comic Con is days away from kicking off; we’ve talked about the incredible exclusives and can’t-miss signings at booth #4551. There is also talk of big news coming out of the “You’ll Want to Be in This Room” panel on Friday. IDW’s horror imprint, IDW Dark, is adding to the celebrations by taking over the publisher’s booth and giving NYCC attendees a first look at the line’s new horror titles.
From the announcement:
“One of my earliest memories is the day I accidentally watched Stephen King’s It when I was nearly 5 years old,” said Heather Antos, Senior Group Editor and lead on the IDW Dark imprint. “One of my first jobs was working in my local haunted house as a teenager. And one of the first comics I ever fell in love with was Hellblazer. We’ve been blown away by the way fans have embraced IDW’s horror books, and this is our opportunity to give them even more of what they love while pushing these characters and worlds into places they’ve never gone before. We’re bringing together incredible creators, iconic licenses, bold new ideas, and the absolute best damn comics we can make– and I cannot wait to see just how dark we can go.”

In addition to taking over the NYCC booth, IDW Dark will also be taking over much of the rest of the publisher’s lineup, including titles like Hello Kitty, Sonic the Hedgehog, Godzilla, Star Trek, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Also showcased at the con will be the imprint’s ongoing series A Quiet Place: Rising Tides, The Twilight Zone, the Smile prequel Any Given Smile, and an explosive conclusion to IDW Dark’s Event Horizon trilogy, Event Horizon: Pandemonium. Also on display will be the imprint’s newest addition, Fatal Fest from creator/writer Hannah Rose May, as well as the final installment of the award-winning series, Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees: The Summer and The Fall.

Fans at NYCC, don’t miss the exclusive ashcans for Fatal Fest #1 and You’ll Never Leave This Place Alive #1 at the IDW booth (booth #4551) before they sell out. Check out IDW’s full NYCC schedule here.
